SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s snowpack is melting off a lot faster than normal. Forecasters say it could have a big impact on our water supply and the possibility of drought. Right now, we have about 37% less water in the snowpack than we normally do in the first week of May. SALT LAKE CITY — New court documents reveal why several dozen international college students studying in Utah had their legal statuses revoked without notice last month. The information was revealed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday by Andre Watson, the assistant director of Homeland Security Investigations under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Watson was questioned about the terminations by a U.S. District Court judge.

SALT LAKE CITY — Police arrested over a dozen people across Utah during an operation targeting child exploitation. According to authorities, those arrested were all living between Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, Utah and Weber counties. The Utah Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 15 people during the operation last week. The task force worked undercover, posing as children on various social media platforms.

SALT LAKE CITY — New search warrants are providing more details about law enforcement’s investigation into the shooting deaths of Eli Painter, 8, and his mother, Jessica Lyman, 44. The mother and son were found shot in their home on March 28. Painter was pronounced dead at the scene. Lyman died in the hospital a couple of days later.
