Whickham Football Club will honour record appearance maker Ross Peareth with a testimonial match in recognition of his service to his local club. The event will see Whickham’s current squad go head-to-head with Peareth’s All-Star team. All proceeds raised from the game will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity close to the family’s heart. The 32-year-old has made a club record 380 appearances, scoring 24 goals over 14 seasons with the non-league club.
