The first humanitarian aid convoy to be sent to Gaza has arrived through the Rafah border on Saturday after wrangling over conditions for delivering relief left it stranded in Egypt. The United Nations said the 20-truck convoy included life-saving supplies that would be received by the Palestinian Red Crescent, but the aid was a fraction of the quantity needed and it was unclear how much aid will be allowed to pass in coming days.

The healthcare system in conflict-hit Gaza is on the "verge of complete collapse" with doctors working in "appalling" conditions, a consultant surgeon has told CGTN Europe. Nick Maynard, a consultant surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust who has traveled to Gaza many times over the past 15 years, explained to CGTN's Jamie Owen the issues health workers face as the Israel-Gaza conflict continues. He said: "It's always challenging working in Gaza, but of course, hugely rewarding as well.

Trucks loaded with humanitarian aid have begun entering the Rafah crossing on route to the Gaza Strip, footage from local Egyptian state TV showed. The aid has been stuck on the Egyptian side of the crossing for several days, waiting to enter the coastal region that has been under attack since October 7. On Saturday, the World Health Organization said that four trucks carrying health supplies had started to move towards the Rafah crossing.

Zhang produced a stunning display to stop Joyce in the sixth round at Wembley Arena in April and claim the WBO Interim Championship. The win propelled the 40-year-old into contention to fight some of the biggest names in the heavyweight division, including Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
