    Nigeria accounted for “the highest level of crypto interest” in Africa, with a share of 66.8%. This is according to the most recent Coingecko Africa crypto report, The West African country accounts for about eight times more of the continent’s interest in cryptocurrencies than South Africa, which ranked a very distant second. The research also reveals that between January 1 and June 4, no other African nation’s interest in cryptocurrencies rose above 10%.

    Nigeria’s inflation rate has hit 22.79% for the month of June 2023. The numbers witnessed further increase after reaching 22.41% in May, representing a 0.30% per the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) recently released consumer price index report. Compared to June 2022 numbers, the present inflation rate represents a 4.19% increase which is utterly disturbing. The data revealed that food inflation led the park as a key influencer in the rise of inflation in June.

    The Development Bank of Nigeria has generated N23 billion in the first part of its N100 billion bond issuance programme targeted at supporting micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises (MSME). The instrument that will be due in 2028 is at 14.4 percent. The bank said it would come in handy in reducing the large funding gulf in the MSME sector, which is pivotal for establishing inclusive growth and job creation.
