Nigeria, Nov. 7 -- Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has announced a donation of N100 million to the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna to support the construction of student hostels, a gesture aimed at addressing accommodation challenges within the university. In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, it was noted that Governor Umar made the announcement when he received the University Governing Council on a courtesy visit at the Government House Minna.

Nigeria, Oct. 7 -- On Monday, Justice Sylvanus Oriji of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), sitting in Maitama, Abuja, delivered a ruling in favor of Senator Dino Melaye, the former Senator representing Kogi West district in the National Assembly. The court discharged and acquitted Melaye of all charges brought against him by the Federal Government.

The Kwara State government has prohibited scavenging in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital as part of efforts to maintain a clean and healthy Kwara. It also advised all previously registered scavengers to conduct their business at the government dump site at Sokoto-Aiyekale, off the Express way.
