Although fungal exposure is known to cause rhinitis symptoms, few studies have focused on rhinitis among preschool children living in lower-income, urban neighborhoods. We hypothesized that mold exposure would be associated with rhinitis symptoms independent of pest exposure and that this risk would be modified by asthma symptoms.
