The format of Friday night’s public Santa Rosa school closure advisory meeting raised questions over transparency after members of the public were not provided access to discussions taking place on the stage. The School Consolidation Advisory Committee members were split into small groups at the start of the meeting, which took place in the Santa Rosa High School auditorium. Committee chair Ben Wolf told attendees it would be difficult for them to hear the conversations.

Pros identified by the district: There would be fewer combination classes, where one teacher teaches multiple grade levels at a time. Low enrollment in specific grades creates these classrooms.
