Miracle is a Christmas themed pop-up cocktail bar that is hosted at The Ordinarie Tavern in Long Beach. The Ordinaire Tavern serves American comfort food, beer, wine and cocktails and is located in the The Promenade. Just as Christmas is around the corner The Ordinaire fully decorates the entire place with Christmas decor. Miracle pop-up opened on Nov. 21 and will end on New Years Eve. The tables are wrapped up to look like presents and so are the walls and chairs.

Norwalk residents facing housing insecurities say they’re deeply opposed to the city’s moratorium on emergency and affordable housing options. They’re concerned the policy will ultimately hurt the city’s most vulnerable – youth and young adults. Ebony Green, 32, is a resident of Norwalk who is currently challenged with homelessness. Green said she is unhappy with the city of Norwalk banning new homeless shelters and supportive housing.

Just off of Atlantic Ave. in Long Beach awaits an oasis for all cat lovers. Feline Good Social Club is a cat lounge that “provides a mutually-beneficial social interaction opportunity between humans and cats” all while finding permanent homes for the cats. It all started with CFO Pam Leslie, who has dedicated over 20 years of her life to rescuing cats. What sparked Leslie’s passion to open FGSC was an experience she had at a shelter.

The city of Norwalk social services center held their 50th anniversary celebration and renaming ceremony on Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.The social services center offers support services to individuals and families with limited resources. The city of Norwalk is one of the few local cities to offer a social service centers, even offering support to residents outside of Norwalk. There was an outdoor tent area with reserved tables that all surrounded the stage.

Orange County had their very own “Haunted Hootenanny” on Sept.28 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.The event took place in the Heritage Museum of OC which is home to many historic buildings , one of which being the Kellogg House, a victorian style home built in 1898. Midnight Souls Productions hosted the event, it is a company focused on hosting spooky themed events as listed on their website “we embrace the mysterious and the macabre to craft unforgettably haunting experiences.

Men do not do their part to stop the spread of the incel mindset – and prevent violence against women. If you’re a man who holds even the smallest respect for women then you should be standing up and defending women. If not, you are part of the problem. In recent years, we have seen a rise in the normalization of incel culture. We have seen this subculture of men find a community on Reddit, Twitch, X, Kick and 4-Chan to discuss and exchange their misogynistic viewpoints.
