Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers for To Be Hero X Episode 6. So, first and foremost, I am getting a little tired of how To Be Hero X is using deaths as almost bait for the audience. It was Moon in Nice and Lin Ling’s arc, and now it’s Shang Chao in Yeng Cheng and E-Soul’s arc. It’s almost as if, without death, there don’t seem to be any real stakes involved. This is honestly sad because the way that the story has been set up, there isn’t a shortage of stakes at all.

Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers for The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 Episode 18. I feel like I am hitting my foot with a hammer because at this point, I am almost hoping that The Apothecary Diaries has at least one bad episode. It makes no sense to me as to how you can be so consistent with episode quality one after the other. Even now, with an episode that had Maomao for less than 5 seconds of screen time, the series knows how to deliver a powerful punch.

Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers for The Beginning After the End Episode 6. I didn’t expect The Beginning After the End to actually improve its animation, but I am glad that they did. Studio A-Cat hasn’t done an amazing job at it, but at least they’ve improved in the task. The animation has been the biggest point of criticism, not just by me but also by many other people. I found myself hating the way the story was executed more than the animation itself.

I had expectations, a lot of them. Whenever I think of Blood of Zeus, I think of all the good that has come from the first two seasons and just how well the final one could have achieved the same. As an obsessive Greek mythology nerd, I know a thing or two about these myths and how tragedies go about as per Aristotle’s rules. Those patterns should have been evident to me, and yet, season 3 falls flat in many ways.

Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers for Lazarus Episode 5. Fight scenes aside, Lazarus is an underwhelming mess of a story that feels like it’s setting up something big but might not be. I shouldn’t feel as bored as I am because, on paper, the concept seems really nice. Axel, the king of parkour, is jumping off skyscrapers to catch helicopters in one episode and beating people up in an elevator in the next. It works, but only to an extent.
