The Take It Back Movement in Plateau State chapter has called on President Bola Tinubu led federal government to initiate an independent and transparent investigation into the mass killings and displacement in the state. The group also said the investigation should be led by the National Human Rights Commission. The call was made by the State Coordinator of the group, John Onah, flanked by other executives, while briefing journalists in Jos, to commemorate the 2025 Democracy Day.

The Plateau Youth Council, PYC, has asked the the federal government to declare Mahanga, a community in Riyom LGA, bothering Gashish District of Barkin Ladi LGA a terrorist hideout. The PYC noted that in the past six weeks, 58 people have been killed and 31 others severely injured. It also said 82 houses and farms were destroyed, displacing over 15,000 residents by armed Fulani herders. The Youth Council equally revealed that they know those perpetuating the dastardly act in their communities.
