1. IntroductionThe Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is the largest country in the Arabian Peninsula, with an area exceeding 2.5 million km2 [1]. This country, dominated by the great Arabian desert with a harsh hyper-arid climate, is, in reality, rich in animal and plant biodiversity [2,3]. This biological richness comes mainly from the geographical, ecological, and landscape diversity that exists in this country, allowing for the existence of a rich and abundant fauna and flora [4,5].

Ankara, (Halbeeg News) – Federal government of Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is scheduled to hold direct talks with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in one of the highest level of engagements of the two countries which have differed for close to a year. On Tuesday, president Mohamud arrived in Turkey for the talks which will be mediated by Turkish president Recep Erdogan.

James Swan, acting special representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia, said notable among these achievements in the past year is the signing of the Somali National Disability Rights Protection Act into law.

NAIROBI, (Xinhua) – The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) announced Tuesday that it has secured 22 million U.S. dollars to strengthen climate resilience and food security in East Africa. The UN agency said the funds will be directed toward smallholder farmers, livestock keepers and marginalized groups, including women and youth, in Kenya, Somalia and South Sudan.
