1. IntroductionCancer is one of the most serious health problems and the second highest cause of death worldwide. Conspicuously, the strategy for cancer treatment has remained basically unchanged, involving surgical removal of the malignancy followed by administration of either radiotherapy or chemotherapy, or both.
