All three EFL Play-Off Finals are scheduled to kick-off one minute late to inspire supporters to learn CPR. The games are set to take place at Wembley Stadium across 24-26 May 2025. These unique kick-off times are designed to raise awareness for the ‘Every Minute Matters’ campaign, a collaboration between Sky Bet and the British Heart Foundation (BHF) aimed at equipping fans with vital skills that could help them save someone’s life.

We’ve seen this story too many times before. A women’s team gets pushed aside, starved of resources, and left to fade — not because of failure on the pitch, but neglect off it. Blackburn’s withdrawal from the Women’s Championship next season is just the latest example. The FA has announced transgender women will no longer be allowed to play women’s football at any level in England. This change will come into effect on June 1, following the UK Supreme Court’s ruling that the legal definition of a woman is based on biological sex. English football’s governing body initially updated its guidance in April, applying a stricter eligibility criteria for transgender women to continue playing in the women’s game. But this new ruling has taken that off the table.
