Britons are being warned to brace for miles of traffic, roadworks and chaos on the rail networks as the Easter weekend getaway begins. Nearly 20million people are hitting the road today, while 19million more are set to travel tomorrow - meaning many motorists could face snaking queues along some of Britain's busiest motorways. Hotspots are expected to include the M6 around Birmingham and Blackpool, the M25's south-western section from the M23 to M40, the M5 at Bristol and the A303 in Wiltshire.

A teenage girl has been stabbed close to a school in London - with witnesses saying she was 'slashed' in the head. The youngster, reported to be 17, was attacked near mixed-sex secondary school Alec Reed Academy in Northolt, in the west London borough of Ealing, on Wednesday shortly after 8pm. She was taken to hospital for treatment to an injury which Scotland Yard has now said is not thought to be life-threatening.

All over the opponents in the second half and yet only one "consolation" to show and still susceptible on the break every time we fluff the ball away which is very often. Happy to be in Europe still, just about, but this season otherwise is a depressing mess. MoPo, USA, how much?

Flailing goalkeeping, haphazard defending, innocuous "attacking". Know it's now even more so all about the Europa rather than Premier League, but plenty of us do still daftly pay plenty to attend and witness this witless dismalness. Various ways, not much of a clue going forward.

Ahead of heading to watch Europa League semi-finalists Tottenham tonight, good to see North London's one other club Barnet today go six points clear at the top of the National League with just two games to go and a three-goal goal difference advantage. NOTHING CAN GO WRONG NOW.
