Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball has earned a commitment from Chander Bing, a 6’6 forward from the high school Class of 2025. Bing announced his commitment on X on April 29. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Bing averaged 19.3 points per game during the 2024-25 season with Pace Academy. He added 6.2 rebounds and 2.3 rebounds per contest in 31 games. He held offers from Georgia State and Texas State, among others. He was originally committed to the Bobcats but flipped his commitment to Vanderbilt.

Vanderbilt Baseball (32-13, 12-9 SEC) welcomed Indiana State (21-23) to Hawkins Field in Nashville, Tennessee, looking to bounce back from their April 22 loss to Middle Tennessee State. The Commodores did just that, winning 5-2 behind a stellar performance from midweek starter Austin Nye. Nye drew the start for the Commodores and was, as he has been for much of the year, excellent. His final line came out to be 5.0 innings pitched with 3 hits, 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.

Vanderbilt Football has landed a commitment from four-star cornerback Caden Harris. Harris is the Commodores’ highest-rated recruit since Chris Young in 2000, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the Black and Gold’s second-highest ranked recruit ever. Harris is a 6’0 Brownsville, Tennessee, native. He’s ranked as the 82nd recruit nationally, per 247Sports. He’s the 11th-ranked cornerback and the 3rd-best recruit in the state of Tennessee.

In today’s age, the highest-profile professional and collegiate baseball pitchers are known for their velocity. The best major league arms are hurling nearly 100 miles per hour, and their collegiate counterparts aren’t far behind. That doesn’t mean there aren’t exceptions, though. Connor Fennell, with low velocity but pinpoint accuracy, is one of those exceptions. Fennell’s baseball journey began in Londonderry, New Hampshire, where he competed in both travel and high school baseball.
