No. 19 Vanderbilt Baseball (29-10, 10-7 SEC) rode hot bats to a 13-7 victory against No. 5 Georgia (34-7, 10-7 SEC) on April 18 in the second game of the weekend series. It was a picturesque spring night in Nashville, with the weather at an even 80 degrees at first pitch, and the Commodore faithful watched a power surge from their lineup as the Black and Gold hit four home runs. Colin Barczi, Brodie Johnston (twice) and Braden Holcomb all went deep.

Kijani Wright is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal, per Sam Kayser of League Ready. Wright transferred to the Commodores after his first year of college during the 2023-24 season, when he averaged 3.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game with USC. He was originally projected to be Vanderbilt’s starting center in 2024-25, but a non-basketball injury kept him sidelined for the entire year.

Vanderbilt Men’s Tennis fell at the hands of the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Tournament on April 16 in Columbia, South Carolina, officially ending its season. The loss put the Commodores at 12-14 on the year (4-10 SEC), and since they finished below .500, they are not eligible for the NCAA Championships. The Commodores started their match against the Crimson Tide by capturing the doubles point.
