    Carrick Swan GAA Club's Junior A Footballers achieved a very impressive win over Cahir on Sunday. Final score was 5-13 to 2-4. The Junior A Hurlers play Thurles Sarsfields in the Bannon Cup final on Friday, June 6 at 7.30pm in Cahir. The Club wishes the team and management the best of luck. All is quiet on the juvenile hurling, football, and camogie front at the moment, but there is a lot going on behind the scenes in preparation for the championships.

    Uisce Éireann says its crews are working to restore normal water supply to homes in Ardfinnan and surrounding areas this afternoon, following a significant burst to the water main supplying Ardfinnan Public Water Supply Scheme. As a result of this burst, customers in Ardfinnan, Goatenbridge, Newcastle, Ballybacon, Grange, Knocklofty and surrounding areas may be impacted by low water pressure and/or water supply disruptions.

    Carrick-on-Suir's new land use development plan for the next six years was unanimously approved by councillors at Tipperary County Council’s May monthly meeting and will come into effect on June 23. The Carrick-on-Suir Local Area Plan 2025-2031 is the first land use blueprint for Carrick-on-Suir town and environs in 12 years and will replace the 2013 Carrick-on-Suir Town Development.

    A projected four month wait to secure a water connection is holding up building commencing on a new estate of 44 homes in Cahir. And the developer fears the start date will be pushed beyond the prime summer months, the Seanad heard last week. South Tipperary Senator Imelda Goldsboro highlighted the case to Minister of State for Local Government & Planning John Cummins in the Seanad last Thursday and called for Uisce Éireann to streamline its water connections process.
