THE DALLES — It’s not too tricky to find a parking spot in The Dalles downtown now, but the city has approved a plan that aims at improving parking turnover in the city’s hot spots as the downtown continues to grow. The Downtown Parking Management Strategy Action Plan, adopted at a regular March 10 meeting, is the city’s first major parking overhaul in two decades, designed to make downtown parking more efficient and user-friendly as new projects bring more activity into the city center.
