Esports are a growing market phenomenon with an increasing number of fans. Thanks to television stations and streaming companies, the major tournaments are transmitted worldwide through different formats, reaching millions of viewers who follow a specific team or player for passion and enjoyment (Jenny et al., 2018; Kane & Spradley, 2017). Players are organized into teams supported by sponsors with earnings similar to traditional athletes.
