The Kenya Japan Alumni Association (KEJAA) made a three-day tour to the KALRO Mwea and National Irrigation Authority (NIA). According to the association, the tour was meant to promote exchanges between Kenyans who have visited Japan for study or training. The Embassy of Japan sponsored the field tour of the Mwea rice-growing areas for the alumni association of the many Kenyans who have studied in Japan.

The Kenya Defense Forces Corporal Edwin Okong'o has been awarded The Certificate of Commanders Commendation and promoted to sergeant. The corporal, who is based in the Wajir Air Base (WAB), participated as a boxer in the 13th All African Games held in Ghana. KDF reported that Okong'o became the first boxer from East and Central Africa to win a gold medal in the sport in 17 years. He received the promotion and commendation from Kenya Air Force (KAF) Commander Major General John Omenda.

The Electricity Sector Association of Kenya (ESAK) says that the inclusion of captive power installations will help Kenya achieve 100 per cent clean energy by 2030. Speaking during a conference in Nairobi on Wednesday, ESAK Chairperson Eddy Njoroge said that Commercial and Industrial (C&I) installations will be a key enabler for sustainability.
