On Monday, Oct. 7, SJP and other pro-Palestine organizations hosted a campus wide walk out followed by a Duaa for Palestine and a Pali 101 event to show memoriam of the lives lost in Palestine. Palestinian organizations like SJP have been active on WSU campus for almost a decade but since the events of Oct.

“I needed a career change and had no confidence as I hadn’t applied for a job or done any learning since I was 16. They’ve really supported me and the courses are really practical. I start my new job next month”. These are the words of one of over 1700 adult learners at Islington Council’s Adult Community Learning service. They shine a light on one of the many inspirational journeys our learners embark upon when they sign up for a course.

The Wayne State University football team lost to the Findlay Oilers in their Saturday home opener with a final score of 30-42, ending their nearly decade long winning streak against the Oilers. The Warriors have now lost back to back games of more than 30 points after losing to  Tiffin in week one. The Warriors were first on the scoreboard kicking a field goal on their opening drive, but the team struggled overall in the first half, as they went into halftime down by 32 points.
