    December is here: the time when everyone is taking stock of what they have done and achieved since January. I have been seeing a lot of these on Twitter. Some have changed jobs, now earning in dollars. Some have moved countries. Some have gotten married. Some have won big. Some will be moving houses. And several other things will be shared in the usual "I am happy to announce" post on social media. In all of this, there will be some people who will be feeling left out.

    After approximately five years in his previous organization, a friend will be starting a new job in a different city on the first of December - an exciting prospect. I asked him last week how he was feeling, and he expressed concern about leaving behind the experiences of the past five years. Around the same time, I was on a flight with someone who recently got married and is traveling to join her husband in a new city/country.
