    Dragon Ball GThasn’t always had it easy and remains one of the franchise’s more polarizing anime, despite the recent reappraisal that it’s received. There are certainly tonal issues in play when Dragon Ball GT begins as well as misjudging the type of audience that would be tuning into the series. Dragon Ball GT gradually becomes a more confident anime and its heights are easily on par with Dragon Ball Z’s best moments.

Their motivations were always questionable, that is, until Episode 8, "Tamagami," completely blew the lid off the truth of their relationship. Dragon Ball DAIMA has been far from the norm for Dragon Ball, despite it actively going back to the series’ more adventure-oriented roots. DAIMA has more in common with the Journey to the West inspiration of Akira Toriyama’s original concept than DBZ ever did, but the anime's fights are some of the best the series has seen in years.

    Goku and Vegeta are known to be two of the strongest fighters in anime history, let alone Dragon Ball. Even by the end of the Buu Saga (which the newest anime in the series, DAIMA, follows), Goku has access to his Super Saiyan 3 form, making him strong enough to defeat the Demon Realm’s most powerful entity, Majin Buu. However, all that changed when he and the rest of the Z Fighters are transformed into children in the very first episode of DAIMA.
