MANCHESTER  – The game didn’t start on time and neither did the Oyster River/Portsmouth girls hockey team. The girls championship game was delayed almost two hours because the Division I boy final wasn’t decided until early in the fourth overtime. And before they knew it the top-seeded ClipperCats were facing a three-goal deficit and a serious uphill climb less than 9 minutes into their final against nemesis Hanover.

CONCORD – In the span of a year the Spaulding High School hockey team went from hunter to hunted. After making an unexpected run to the Division II final last season, the top-seeded Red Raiders’ bid to reach back-to-back championship games fell short with a 5-1 semifinal loss to No. 5 Merrimack/Hollis-Brookline/Derryfield on Wednesday night at Everett Arena.

DURHAM – Braiden Moriarty has been an offensive catalyst for the Oyster River High School boys hockey team this season, and Saturday afternoon’s playoff game against Dover was no different. The junior forward had two goals and an assist as the defending Division II champion Bobcats eliminated the Green Wave, 5-2, in a Division II quarterfinal matchup at the Whittemore Center. “Braiden is a very gifted offensive player,” said Oyster River head coach Peter Harwood.
