Cubs relievers allowed four runs, including two home runs, in two innings of work and that provided the margin in a 6-2 Cubs loss to the Mets.

The Cubs have won the third game in four of the previous 10, including last year, when they lost a fourth game to split the series. They had done the same in 2008. The Cubs won the finale of three-game series in 2003, 2004, 2011 and 2012.Only in 2011 did they lose the first game, then win the next two.

His only real mistake in four innings was a three-run homer by Brett Baty.
