Published: 17:30, 25 August 2024 It’s probably the daftest name ever conceived for a car, with the possible exception of Toyota’s electric bZ4X. The gossip is Honda’s e:Ny1 was never meant to be called that but it was down to an administrative error. All-electric this week with the impressive EV3 from Kia. £35,995 on the road and a claimed range of 375 miles, but we'll see how that goes. More practical around town than its EV9 big brother and pretty smart all round. @KiaUKPR https://t.co/fMd8lzFN7n

Blue van man this week in the long wheelbase Ford Transit Custom Sport 2.5 litre plug-in hybrid. It's a big beast and the rear view digital mirror with built-in dash cams is clever - and essential. Quite an investment though at £52,380 plus VAT. @forduk https://t.co/mtx1Uu0ajv

Great three-day jaunt round the Kintyre peninsula and the Ford Ranger Platinum was superb for the 700-mile trip. 33mpg from the 3-litre diesel was impressive and great comfort in the £52,380 (+VAT) beast. @forduk https://t.co/H8qsXy0C5s
