Written by Aidan Hale and directed by Scout McWhinney, the play probes the erosion of truth and societal structures in our contemporary society — or more likely happening in the future — challenging viewers to confront what it means to be human in a post-truth era.

“Merging Radiance” is an augmented-reality, interactive artwork that honors the story of Japanese American farmers who lived in Bellevue between 1920 and WWII by artists Michelle Kumata and Tani Ikeda. It made its debut at Bellevue Arts Museum and now gets a more extended run at the Bellevue Library through February 2027. Opening reception on Wed., February 19, 2025 from 5:30 – 8pm.

Chatwin Arts presents “The Art of James Leong– A Retrospective – Part 1” is now on view through February 1. 2025. This two-part retrospective spans the 1950s through the 1970s. Internationally known, Leone worked in Rome from 1958 – 1989 and in Seattle from 1990 – 2011. His multi-faceted career took him from San Francisco’s Chinatown to Norway, Rome and eventually Seattle.
