A judge ruled Monday that a man accused of injuring two police officers and hitting two cruisers in Bedford on Sunday morning will remain in jail. Brandon Legere, 43, of Manchester, was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, felony DUI and possession of controlled drugs after he was arrested Sunday.

Tensions between property owners and an unhoused population in Nashua have led to a new loud message. A new alarm system was installed by property owners in an industrial neighborhood on Celina Avenue where unhoused people have been living for years. The property owners said they have become fed up with what they call a dangerous and messy situation, while people who have been living in RVs on the street said they feel harassed and have nowhere to go.

Paperwork just released in a Manchester murder investigation is revealing a possible motive in the stabbing inside a Union Street apartment building. Ramadhanu Idrisa Kiki, 39, is charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bail. He is accused of stabbing and killing Derek Jones, 60, last week. According to an affidavit, when Kiki was arrested, he said that the stabbing victim had kidnapped his sister and held her for 13 years.

New Hampshire organizations affected by federal cuts to AmeriCorps shared their concerns Monday morning with members of New Hampshire's congressional delegation. The government has cut about $400 million in federal grants for AmeriCorps, and New Hampshire organizations say the cuts affect everything from conservation efforts to public school safety. "It's about $5 million, and it's about 500 members impacted," said Pawn Nitichan, executive director of City Year.
