UBS Asset Management has sold its single manager hedge fund, private credit and commodities platform, O’Connor, to Cantor Fitzgerald. The deal is expected to close in Q4.
The transaction includes six investment strategies from O’Connor with $11bn in AUM. O’Connor’s investment and support teams will move over to Cantor Fitzgerald’s Asset Management (CFAM) upon the deal closing.

Broker-dealer and asset manager Cambridge Associates has partnered with iCapital to offer its advisors the entire breadth of offerings on iCapital’s platform.
iCapital is a fintech company and marketplace for private assets. Cambridge’s 3,800 advisors will now be able to access all the products, education and research insights available through iCapital.
This partnership is an expansion of Cambridge’s private client solutions (PCS) platform, launched in 2023.

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw has raised the alarm about regulatory risk at the agency, citing recent staff cuts and what she views as a broad step back from recent rulemaking.
Crenshaw, currently the only commissioner serving in a Democratic seat on the five-person body, made the comments on Monday during public remarks at the SEC Speaks conference, hosted in Washington, D.C. by the nonprofit Practising Law Institute.

A seven-person team has left RIA platform Bison Wealth to operate an independent wealth management firm.
Brothers Wes and Chad Hunter, who operated under the name QTR Family Wealth at Bison, have announced the launch of their independent RIA. Chad Hunter is the firm’s chief executive, and both have the titles of managing partner and private wealth advisor. They are based in the Orlando, Fla., area.
QTR said it has $1.8bn in total assets under advisement.

JP Morgan Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) has lofty goals for the next few years, as the firm plans to nearly double its assets across asset classes and in the private bank.
And how do they plan to get there? At JP Morgan’s 2025 investor day on Monday, JPM AWM CEO Mary Erodes said that the ‘path to $10tn’ is investing in some of the division’s most promising areas. The unit currently has about $6tn in assets under supervision, split evenly between asset and wealth management.

TCW has named Scott Dennis as its new head of exchange traded funds, the firm said Monday.
The new role includes leading TCW’s expanding ETF business, which now includes five equity and six fixed income products. Dennis will report directly to Jennifer Grancio, global head of distribution.
‘More and more investors and financial advisors are looking to TCW to provide a diversity of ETFs that offer active management, intraday liquidity and tax efficiency,’ Grancio said in a press release.
