EDINBURGH tennis star Jacob Fearnley responded to a fan deeming him “the next Andy Murray” after his win at the Australian Open earlier this week. The Scots player also praised his dedicated fans, saying their cheers helped him secure his landslide win against Arthur Cazaux. Today though, fans sadly saw Fearnley knocked out of the competition after a loss to Alexander Zverev. Despite his loss, he was praised by Zverev who called him “an incredible player”.

AN EDINBURGH venue is hosting an unconventional event for adults who like to dress as babies, offering a bouncy castle, arts and crafts, and a ball pit. The event, termed the “Littles Lock In” is sponsored by The Dotty Diaper Company who sell adult-sized pacifiers, nappies, and bottles. It is described as a “fully immersive, non-sexual ABDL event” – ABDL meaning “Adult Baby Diaper Lover”. The event is being held this weekend at After Dark, an adults-only club in Bankhead, western Edinburgh.

ENERGY company BT has scrapped its scheme to install electric vehicle (EV) charging points in street cabinets across the UK. Only one EV charging point was installed in East Lothian in May last year, with no further points having been installed since. They initially proposed to install 60,000 charging points across the UK but now, the company has decided instead to focus on the Wi-Fi connectivity issues that many charging points suffer from.

AN EDINBURGH woman has begged the council for the release of her car after it was impounded – because she accidentally paid for parking on the Isle of Wight. The motorist had parked in the city centre on Tuesday and believed she had paid for 15 hours of parking up until Wednesday morning via the commonly used parking app RingGo. However, upon returning, she found her motor gone, with the council having seemingly impounded the vehicle – which contained her house keys – overnight.
