    HIGH POINT, N.C., Dec. 6, 2024 – High Point University rang in the holiday season by hosting approximately 1,500 community members today for the 53rd Annual Christmas Prayer Breakfast. The annual tradition brought Christmas music and inspirational messages to the large audience that filled the Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center and the thousands of viewers who watched the event on livestream.

    HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 22, 2024 – High Point University students proposed their business ideas to a panel of judges and earned a combined $20,000 in start-up funds during the 14th annual Elevator Pitch Competition. The competition was part of HPU’s Global Entrepreneurship Week, an international initiative that introduces entrepreneurship to young people across the globe. HPU students made 13 presentations on Nov. 13 as they competed for funding to launch or continue developing their business plans.

    HIGH POINT, N.C., Nov. 26, 2024 – In the latest High Point University Poll, more North Carolinians (24%) chose pumpkin pie as their favorite pie to eat during the holidays than any other type of pie. This is the fourth consecutive year pumpkin pie has been in the top spot.  Other popular pies during the holidays in North Carolina include pecan (18%), sweet potato (17%) and apple (15%).
