To give you some further context, the idea of Ludic Living came to me during my 3rd episode of mental anguish. This was after I had graduated high school and realized I had nothing to do with my life, and no plans for my future (my 1st episode of mental anguish)…And it came after I had set a big goal for myself, and achieved all that I had ever wanted (my 2nd episode of mental anguish). Somewhere shortly after achieving my childhood dreams, I found myself without any other goals to chase after.

There have been at least four notable instances of mental anguish within my life so far. Each episode has been characterized by the negative emotions of stress, anxiety, overwhelm, sadness, boredom, and/or depression. During these troubling times, the symptoms were all the same. My mind refused to settle, and instead was racing at a million miles per hour. I wanted to do nothing but curl up in my bed and sleep.
