An art expert who has worked on the BBC's Bargain Hunt has pleaded guilty to offences related to terror financing, in the first prosecution of its kind. Oghenochuko Ojiri, 53, admitted eight counts under the Terrorism Act 2000 of failing to make a disclosure during the course of business. Under the legislation, it is an offence if people do not notify police if they know or suspect a business associate to have been involved in financing a proscribed group.

A US government official has been charged for allegedly leaking classified documents appearing to show Israeli plans for a retaliatory attack on Iran. Israel carried out air strikes on Iran in October, targeting military sites in several regions, in response to the barrage of missiles launched by Tehran weeks earlier. Leaked classified documents are said to have contained the US's assessment of the plans ahead of the attack, as well as the movements of Israeli military assets in preparation.

Twenty-two people have been killed and 117 injured in Israeli air strikes on central Beirut, Lebanon's Health Ministry said. BBC reporters heard loud explosions echoing from the site of a strike in Bachoura, a small Shia area in the Lebanese capital. Rescuers were seen digging through rubble at the scene. Ambulances rushed many injured to the American University hospital.

Three lions and a panther were also reported to have died of the virus alongside 47 tigers since August. The H5N1 outbreak hit the Vuon Xoai zoo near Ho Chi Minh City and the My Quynh safari park in neighbouring Long An province.

Soldier out of hospital as stabbing trial date setA soldier stabbed near the barracks he was posted to in Kent has been discharged from hospital, with a trial date set for his alleged attacker. Lt Col Mark Teeton, who is in his 40s, was in uniform when he was stabbed in Sally Port Gardens near Brompton Barracks on 23 July. Anthony Esan has been charged with attempted murder and is expected to face trial in January.
