The Minnesota Lynx waived former IU All-Big Ten guard Grace Berger on Wednesday afternoon. The No. 7 pick in the 2023 WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever, Berger appeared in both preseason games for the Lynx. She scored seven points, had two assists and a rebounds in 22 minutes of preseason action. In 37 career games for the Fever between the 2023 and 2024 WNBA seasons, Berger has career averages of 3.9 points, 1.6 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per game.

Class of 2026 forward Toni Bryant is the latest prospect to receive a scholarship offer from Indiana. Sam Keyser reported the offer early Wednesday afternoon. Bryant is a 6-foot-9, 215-pound forward who plays at North Tampa Christian Academy in Florida and for Tre Mann Elite in the Pro 16 League.

If you’re an IU basketball fan, a Peacock subscription has been necessary to watch the men’s and women’s basketball teams the past two seasons. And last fall, IU football’s game at Michigan State was exclusively broadcast on Peacock. The Big Ten’s television rights agreement includes football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service.

Northwest Florida State College transfer Jade Ondineme announced her commitment to IU women’s basketball earlier this month. A native of Orleans, France, Ondineme is a 6-foot-3 forward who just completed her sophomore season at Northwest Florida State College. In 35 games, she averaged six points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists while shooting 51.1 percent from the field. Ondineme is expected to provide depth in the IU frontcourt next winter.

Former IU All-American Mackenzie Holmes was waived Monday by the Seattle Storm. Holmes had nine points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots in a 79-59 preseason win against the Connecticut Sun on May 4. The Storm also waived forward Brianna Fraser and guard Serena Sundell on Monday. Holmes, 24, was a third-round pick by the Storm in the 2024 WNBA draft but did not play in the 2024 WNBA season after undergoing knee surgery. She spent the 2024-25 season in Bloomington as a graduate manager.

One of the top players nationally in the class of 2027 is the latest prospect to receive a scholarship offer from Indiana. Ryan Hampton, a 6-foot-6 wing, announced that he was offered a scholarship from the Hoosiers on Monday afternoon via his X (formerly Twitter) account. Hampton, who plays at Dynamic Prep in Texas, and for Drive Nation in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL), is the No. 2 player nationally in his class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

The lone May evaluation period is just a few days away. Beginning Friday at 8 a.m. through Sunday at 4 p.m., college coaches can evaluate prospects at certified NCAA events. It will be the first and only opportunity of the spring for the new IU basketball coaching staff to watch the prospects they’ve offered in recent weeks.
