They have slammed Sovereign Network Group (SNG) for inaction. Jack and Beckie Francis's garden, on Furrlongs in Newport, is completely overgrown - a mixture of bindweed and nettles. They have not set foot in it since they saw the first needle two and a half years ago. The couple's neighbour has since died, and his garden left piled high with rubbish. Jack said: "Our garden is completely unusable. We were basically told by Sovereign Housing, if anyone was called, we would be charged for it.

Pamela Parker's shots of Island landscape photographer will be on display from Thursday, June 5 to Wednesday, July 2. Pamela's work has been exhibited as part of the Isle of Wight Festival Experience 25 installation at the O2 Arena, with her photos of Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys and Robbie Williams featuring.

A cordon was put up on Newport Road this afternoon (Sunday, June 1) (Image: IWCP) Fire, police and ambulance services attended an incident which closed an Isle of Wight main road this afternoon (Sunday, June 1). Newport Road in Ventnor was cordoned off between Lowtherville Road and York Road after a fire crew and police officers were called to assist ambulance services. The incident led to significant disruption in the area.
