A parade will kick off at 11 a.m. June 7 on Second Street, followed by a festival to be held down St. Clair Street with live music, merchandise, vendors and a dedicated family area. ExploreFor the event, Kings Island officials have set up five tents near the park’s famous Eiffel Tower, each with its own menu of drinks and dishes. Offerings include the ice-cold Frosé, Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay, Kings Ridge Pinot Noir, braised beef poutine, smoked chicken salad and more. The park will also offer two special desserts for the event. The first, the dark chocolate raspberry panna cotta, is sold at the second tent.

Taking place at the park’s Veterans Memorial Plaza, the ceremony began with a performance of “The Star Spangled Banner” from U.S. Air Force Veteran Felita LaRock, followed by a welcome from Centerville Mayor Brooks Compton. After his words, Pastor Tony Miltenberger took the podium to give a prayer. The Pledge of Allegiance was then recited, led by local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops. Guests’ attention was then turned to the other edge of the plaza.
