    At around 3 a.m. on Saturday, Miami Police Department (MPD) officers were patrolling the streets of Wynwood near businesses like Electric Lady and 1-800-Lucky when they say they "confronted" a man with a firearm. According to MPD spokesperson Michael Vega, several officers discharged their firearms and the armed man was killed — along with a woman, who has been identified in news reports as 28-year-old Evelyn Valdes, an innocent bystander reportedly caught in the crossfire.
