WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Prince William County Police are investigating after a man was killed just before 6 o'clock Friday morning. Investigators say Jake Leo Burdette Jr., 56, was chasing after a dog that was running through traffic along Dumfries Road. Burdette, a Woodbridge resident who was not the dog’s owner, managed to catch the dog. But as he went back across Dumfries Road to get out of the road, he was struck by a traveling westbound approaching Old Stage Road.
