While the weather won't be as rainy as early Thursday morning, we may see a stray shower or two pop up through Friday evening. Clouds may not leave for a while, depending on nearby low pressure this weekend. Through early tonight, the weather remains cloudy and dry. A few passing showers slide in after midnight, then move out before sunrise. Low overnight dip to the middle 40s.

Rainy weather is in the forecast more often than night. The showers may turn heavy at times, especially Thursday morning. The showers start out light and scattered through early tonight. Late overnight, a round of heavier rainfall plus a few rumbles of thunder move in. These heavier showers stick around through the morning commute, so be ready for puddles in the roads and slower driving conditions.

Soaking showers provide beneficial rainfall during the second half of the week. The weather stays dry tonight through Wednesday afternoon, so we have a little more quiet time before the showers start. Temperatures overnight dip to the upper 30s. Wednesday starts sunny, then turns cloudy by the afternoon. Highs stay near average and in the middle 60s. Rainy weather may start up as early as Wednesday evening.

Storms may struggle to fire up this evening and tonight, but there remains a chance we see strong to severe storms. There is a "cap" on the atmosphere, which acts like a lid on a pot. The cap is caused by warm air above us. This cap may prevent storms from firing this evening, and cause any incoming storms from elsewhere to fizzle. If the cap breaks, however, we sit and a 2 to 3 out of 5 risk for severe storms. These would include tornadoes, hail, and damaging wind gusts.

We get treated to another gorgeous day to wrap up the weekend, then we'll have to stay on our toes with the chance for strong storms on the way. Highs today warm up a little, getting into the upper 60s. A light sound breeze rounds out the comfortable conditions. Look for a few more clouds today; overall the weather stays partly cloudy. Get ready for a muggy day to start off the new week. Very warm and humid air is on the way, boosting temperatures up to or around 80 degrees Monday.
