POMONA, Calif. – Former Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball student-athlete Jasen Powell (1992-95) is headed to the Paris 2024 Olympics as an athletic trainer for the United States Men's Basketball National Team. Powell became the Head Athletic Trainer for the Los Angeles Clippers in 1999 and is the only National Basketball Athletic Trainers Association (NBATA) member to have college basketball playing experience.

POMONA, Calif. – Noah Ralby joined the Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball staff as an assistant coach on Monday, it was announced by head coach Greg Kamansky. Ralby was most recently serving as the Video & Analytics Coordinator for men's basketball at the University of Washington in 2023-24, after spending two seasons as the Director of Analytics for men's basketball at Utah State. "Noah brings a lot of knowledge from his time at Utah State and the University of Washington," said Kamansky.

INDIANAPOLIS – Former Cal Poly Pomona standout student-athlete Ryan Fields will compete in the 400 meter hurdles at the United States Olympic Trials. The trials will take place at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon from June 21-30. "We are so proud of Ryan for all he has accomplished during his career at CPP and it is amazing for him to cap it off by competing at the U.S. Olympic Trials," said head coach Chris Bradford.

WALNUT, Calif. – Ryan Fields broke his own school record on Saturday afternoon, running 13.64 seconds in the 110 meter hurdles to beat his previous personal best of 13.75. His new mark now ranks fourth in the entire nation this season, while ranking first in the CCAA. Fields is still ranked second in the nation in the 400 meter hurdles behind teammate Alessio Sommacal. The Broncos reached 10 NCAA provisional qualifying marks at the Mt. SAC Relays, while also setting seven personal records.
