    The world is sinking deeper into all-consuming wars. Good news seems to be nowhere in sight. Missile exchanges between Iran and Israel have continued into their 5th day and neither side seems inclined to back down. Under the peace maker President Trump, the United States seems to be putting the pieces in place to join the war on the side of Israel, making itself yet again the Empire’s chief mercenary force and its perennial useful idiot.

    [Originally published at I-System TrendCompass] Something about the war between Israel and Iran doesn’t seem to add up. Israel’s initiated the hostilities, which, of course, were purely defensive in nature. They were merely a justified retaliation against Iran’s missile attack which was sure to follow in the near future. Israel always has the right to defend itself.

    The negotiations between the United States and Iran hit a snag and President Trump has signalled readiness to resort to military means. After initially agreeing to “allow” Iran enrichment of uranium below weapons grade threshold, the United States reversed its stance and demanded that Iran cease uranium enrichment altogether which would effectively deprive Iran of autonomy in its nuclear development program.
