    11 1/1 Residents have been noticing "creepy-looking trees" showing up in West Swindon. The trees are entirely engulfed in a white substance, giving them a spooky look synonymous with Halloween. It has now been confirmed that the cause of this unusual phenomenon is a small moth caterpillar. One resident took notice of the trees and found them "scary", They said, "I drive my daughter to work most days and travel via Mead Way and Whitehill Way.

    A spokesperson for the police said: "We are appealing for your help to identify this man following reports of theft of a bicycle at Greenbridge Retail Park. "The bike was taken from the bike rack between Smyths Toys and Poundland just after 7pm on April 5. "We acknowledge that the man is not very clear in these images but are hoping someone may recognise his clothing.

    The bridge is in west Swindon along the B4553 and near Shaw Play Park. A spokesperson for Swindon Borough Council said: "Repairs to Shaw Ridge footbridge will be taking place later this month. "The bridge, which spans Tewkesbury Way (B4553) will be closed from Monday, 19 May for approximately 15 days. "This is so the deteriorating tarmac on the approaches to the bridge can be repaired as well as minor repairs to the bridge structure itself.

    4 1/1 A pedestrian and cyclist crossing area has now reopened on Fleming Way in Swindon town centre after being closed for development. There is still no access for vehicles down Fleming Way, but progress has been made to allow pedestrians to cross over the east side of the development. Swindon Borough Council said: "The Whalebridge end of Fleming Way has reopened to pedestrians.
