Internet Finds·Posted 4 minutes agoFeaturing the most "creative" alternative to a Christmas tree I've ever seen. Hello fine folks, hope you've had a wonderful week. As a bulwark against tense and troubling times, I've been focusing on the simple pleasures in life — quality time with friends, excellent tacos, and hilariously stupid pictures from around the internet. It's doing wonders I gotta say! Hopefully these pics give you the mood boost they gave me.

Internet Finds·Posted 3 minutes agoFeaturing the best-worst drawing of a chameleon I've ever seen. Hi y'all, hope everyone's had a good week. I'm hearing nonstop Christmas music from the coffee shop to the grocery store which is equal parts sweet and maddening. I did just watch the dazzling 1967 French musical The Young Girls of Rochefort for the first time last night and it was delightful beyond belief. Recommended if you like Singin' in the Rain or La La Land.

Internet Finds·Posted 2 minutes agoMaybe the stupidest batch I've found yet (in a good way). Hey y'all, hope it's been a good week. Other than bopping around the ol' web looking for funny and dumb pictures of stuff, I managed to also play some tennis (backhand needs work), see Saltburn (mixed feelings!), and play music with some pals (a blast). Mostly, though...I bopped around the ol' web looking for funny and dumb pictures of stuff.

With that in mind, I started a little experiment to find out what non-Americans associate with each of our 50 United States. I asked the BuzzFeed Community to give me a word, a phrase, or a quick thought on as many US states as they could. We all walk around with assumptions built from a combination of news, pop culture, and assorted gossip — I thought this exercise would give an interesting window into how the rest of the world perceives our huge, diverse, wild, weird country.

Buzz·Posted 3 minutes agoIf people were mean about your state, remember: I'm just the messenger! Even in this era of globalization, social media, and 24-hour news, there's still so much we don't know about how other human beings live. It's endlessly fascinating to see how people in different countries eat, study, speak, dress, and go about their day-to-day.
