CUMBERLAND — Fort Cumberland tried to claw back in the game, but Garrett County's middle infield didn't let them. Garrett shortstop Brayden Upole thwarted a sure single with a diving stop and a throw from his knees to kill a rally in the sixth inning. In the seventh, Upole linked up with Cole Folk for a game-ending 6-4-3 double play.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — It was a wild and wonderful weekend of walk-offs for Frankfort, but the Falcons finally flew too close to the sun. Avery Noel and Aubrie Root hit game winners in consecutive games to put Frankfort in the state championship game, and Noel had more late-game heroism in the tank, pulling the Falcons level with Winfield at 1 after an RBI groundout in the sixth.
