MCHENRY — Sometimes it's better to not hit the ball hard. Garrett County's Ryan Bird found that out the hard way, stinging a line drive with the bases loaded in the seventh inning to the right side of the infield. AdvertisementInstead of a walk-off knock, it found the glove of Fort Cumberland's Liam Buck, who dove to first to double off the runner and send the game to extra innings. Garrett's Jared Haskiell had better luck with a pop fly in the eighth.
