This week Katy Perry and five other female celebrities went on the first all-woman space flight since 1963. Flying on a rocket shaped like a phallus, the mission was funded by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, the billionaire who loves Donald Trump. The MAGA mouthpiece and one of the world’s richest men has previously told staff he wants them to wake up “terrified” every day. There have been numerous strikes from his workers, to say nothing of investigations into denied leave for injured employees.

Stephen Flynn has been accused of “calling the shots” in the SNP, as a Labour minister claimed Scotland’s ruling party was in “chaos” following its calls for the nationalisation of Grangemouth. Energy minister Michael Shanks criticised Scottish Government calls to nationalise the refinery. He claimed those calls showed Mr Flynn, the SNP Westminster leader, was now running the party, rather than First Minister John Swinney.

Scottish ministers have been accused of showing they “can’t do the job alone” after requesting an urgent meeting with the UK Government over the Supreme Court ruling on the legal definition of a woman. Scottish Labour MP Joani Reid told the SNP to “end” efforts to blame others and take responsibility following Wednesday’s verdict.

The visit by US President Donald Trump is not expected to see him return to ScotlandDonald Trump has suggested a date for September is being set for him to meet the King in Britain, but has done so without mentioning Scotland. The US president said he was a “friend of Charles” and had “great respect” for him, when asked about reports that he was expecting to fly to the UK at the end of summer.

The ruling follows a series of challenges brought by the campaign group, For Women Scotland (FWS), over the definition of “woman” in Scottish legislation mandating 50 per cent female representation on public boards.
