Solana DeFi protocol Jito airdropped $225m to its 10,000 users this week. Their point system allowed users to claim $10k in $JTO for Staking 1 SOL for 100 days (1 point a day for 1 SOL staked). I believe this might be the start of a Solana DeFi airdrops trend. There are already projects with similar point systems, that are available for farming today. Crypto projects often do airdrops and give away their tokens for free. Sometimes they give away thousands of dollars per wallet. For example, Arbitrum airdropped from 1,250 to 10,250 tokens to 625,000 users, and now $ARB is trading at ~1$ per token. If you’re considering this form of investment, you’ll probably think:That was exactly what I thought for myself. I started digging into that and figured out, that some projects will ban you for multi-accs. Not great.

Well… it’s because it’s profitable for the project. Sounds crazy if you’re unfamiliar with that industry, so let me explain. In simple words: it’s another form of investment that requires skills in market analysis, project research, and automation. Let’s dive into the details of that. Why do projects do airdrops?
