    IntroductionIn recent years, a wide range of political actors have promoted the conspiratorial narrative that elites are purposely “replacing” white majorities in Western countries with other ethnicities. In the English language, this narrative is typically called the “Great Replacement” by its proponents (and the “Great Replacement Theory” or GRT by observers), likely derived from French writer Renaud Camus’s 2011 book Le Grand Remplacement (Zúquete 2018).
