Der demografische Wandel stellt uns auch im Arbeitsleben vor Herausforderungen, die mittlerweile für viele zur Realität geworden sind. Der Renteneintritt der sogenannten "Baby Boomer" und der generelle Rückgang an Nachwuchs verschärfen den Fachkräftemangel. Damit die Rente noch finanzierbar ist, wurde das offizielle Renteneintrittsalter auf 67 Jahre abgehoben, das reale Renteneintrittsalter lag 2022 im Durchschnitt bei 64,4 Jahren – ein Plus von ca. 2 Jahren im Vergleich zu der Jahrtausendwende.

AbstractContinuous evolution of SARS-CoV-2 alters the antigenicity of the immunodominant spike (S) receptor-binding domain and N-terminal domain, undermining the efficacy of vaccines and monoclonal antibody therapies. To overcome this challenge, we set out to develop a vaccine focusing antibody responses on the highly conserved but metastable S2 subunit, which folds as a spring-loaded fusion machinery.
