    Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond said his office is not seeking the death penalty for former death row inmate Richard Glossip. Drummond indicated that right now, his office does not plan to dismiss the first-degree murder charge that was filed against Glossip for the 1997 death of Barry Van Treese, but is also not seeking the death penalty because the man who admitted to murdering Van Treese is serving life without parole.

    The Pryor Creek Police Department said it has received some reports of storm damage from severe weather. Residents are asked to avoid any downed power lines and contact the police department at (918) 825-1212. Officials said most of the reports consist of downed trees, broken branches, and debris that was blown around. One residence had damage to its weatherhead from a fallen tree. Dorrell will work as a reporter on the Good Day Oklahoma morning show and the 5 p.m. newscast, while also spending her year as Miss Oklahoma, advocating for her Community Service Initiative, Partnership Club, and traveling across the state. She is also looking ahead to the Miss America competition.

    Two people have been arrested and three people have been implicated in a drug smuggling operation at the Cleveland County Detention Center. The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office launched a coordinated investigation into illegal drugs being smuggled into the detention center after detention staff found illegal substances during routine operations. Officials arrested 40-year-old Angela Rainbolt and 22-year-old Katlin Fulton, both of Luther, on Tuesday, May 27.

    Representative Justin "JJ" Humphrey, R-Lane, announced on Thursday that he is filing a lawsuit against the Oklahoma House of Representatives and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Humphrey claims the Department of Corrections made an agreement with the Oklahoma House Leadership to stop Humphrey from obtaining records. "The records they agreed to prevent me from obtaining are records on rape, human rights and murder," Humphrey said in a post on Facebook.
