    AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The much anticipated 74,000-square-foot travel stop Buc-ee’s is making progress in Amarillo. Construction has been underway at I-40 and Airport Boulevard since October 2023, and the groundwork is right on track for a February 2025 grand opening. Amarillo College partnered with Pantex to bring this opportunity to smaller agencies including EMS, emergency management personnel and funeral directors in surrounding areas. The conference was free to these agencies and was provided by a federal grant called “PETE”.
