Teresa Martinez, a Republican from Casa Grande, teamed up with professional boxer Mike Tyson to announce a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club. The former heavyweight champion is also an entrepreneur, actor and inspiration to many. The investigation remains open and active, but there is still no suspect or a clear motive. Rachel Hansen was 19 years old when police say someone broke into her apartment, shot her and then got away. “She was going to make such a difference in people’s lives,” said Todd Hansen, Rachel’s dad.

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — The revival of an old, controversial immigration enforcement program is drawing sharp criticism. It’s called 287(g) and basically lets local law enforcement act as immigration officers in certain situations. Six Arizona law enforcement agencies have signed up, including Mesa police. Under the 287(g) program, ICE can partner with local agencies through three models. They are the Jail Enforcement model, the Task Force model and the Warrant Service Officer program.
